Martingale Collar with chain and buckle Max and Neo brand or similar - PLEASE NOTE the chain portion of the martingale is not to harm the dog and is not inherently aversive to a dog. (People are the ones who think a chain on any equipment is aversive because it is aversive to the person.) I carefully curate my favorite collars for the best function and safety. The chain has added weight to it, so it slides better than an all-fabric martingale, thereby increasing clarity for the dog when teaching leash walking. It also serves as a non-chew-through material that will prevent a dog from chewing through the cloth martingales. The buckle on this martingale is so I can pre-size the collar before placing it on the dog, thereby reducing the time needed to fit a martingale that slides over the dog’s head. If you choose to pick an all-fabric martingale then please make sure to get a buckle in it.

A crate is essential to build brave behaviors, keep dog safe, keep your house safe, keep the dog from escaping outside doors. DO NOT USE A WIRE CRATE. Choose one below. I find it is better to make an investment in a crate so the dog doesn’t destroy cheaper crates.
