Fearful Dog Safety Guide

Adopters often lose fearful and feral dogs within the first few days. The dog often doesn’t trust the people yet and gets spooked, jumps a wall or goes under a fence, and runs away. Many “normal” dogs are often lost during fireworks, car rides, or when a door opens. But this can all be prevented. I have fostered fearful and feral dogs for 16 years and have compiled a list of best practices for keeping your dog from escaping. All of these suggestions come from someone’s story of how their dog got loose. Don’t become one of my suggestions in the future! Take simple precautions, don’t underestimate your dog, and keep your dog safe.
